Margo Candela cracks us up and has some books to give away!

**Giveaway is now closed**

Today we have the pleasure of speaking with Margo Candela, who writes women's fiction the old fashioned way. Margo's novels include "Underneath It All," "Life Over Easy," "More Than This," "Good-bye To All That," and "Life Observed: a collection of short stories and essays" (this one is only 99 cents for Kindle). At Borders Books, "More Than This" was an American Association of Publishers national book club selection, and at Target stores it was a "break out book." "Good-bye To All That" was the only chick lit novel chosen by Los Angeles Magazine for it's "Best of 2010 L.A. List."

Margo is here today to share with us her humorous chick lit tid bits, and has four e-books of her newest novel (published on October 3rd), "The Brenda Diaries," to give to some lucky readers anywhere in the world.

You can visit Margo at her website, Facebook and Twitter. You can visit "The Brenda Diaries" at its very own website, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

Funniest chick lit novel?
"Bridget Jones’s Diary" remains my high water mark for funny when it comes to writing about or for chicks.

Funniest book character (chick lit or any kind)?
Ignatius J. Reilly ( "A Confederacy of Dunces").

Favorite comedy film?
I love just about any film the Danny DeVito has put his imprint on either as a director or producer. Particular favorites are "The War of the Roses," "Duplex" and "Throw Momma from the Train."

Funniest TV show?
"Arrested Development." I’m keeping my fingers crossed that whatever needs to happen happens for a movie version to finally be made.

Funniest song?
"Only A Lad" by Oingo Biongo.

Favorite inside joke you have with anyone you know?
My husband and I were up way too late one night and our conversation eventually came around to feminism. He looked up the SCUM Manifesto, a radical feminist book that calls for the elimination of the male sex, online and read it to me. The whole thing. The manifesto does make exceptions for men who admit they’re turds and list all their faults during what are known as Turd Sessions. By the time he got around to asking for my opinion on SCUM, I was very sleepy, but he still wanted to talk. So I said, “Shut up and turn off the light, Turd.”

Favorite comedian?
Kathy Griffin and, yes, I’m bummed that there won’t be another season of "My Life on the D-List."

Favorite humorous quote? (from a movie)
“You wet yourself! You wet yourself! Mr.McDunnough wet himself, Daddy!” Raising Arizona (1987)

Strangest thing you find funny?
Maybe not strange but still good for a cheap laugh is a well hidden Whoopie Cushion.

Funniest TV or movie character?
Not necessarily a character but what a character did: I always found it funny that George McFly (Crispin Glover) in "Back to the Future" is eating Corn Flakes at the diner when Marty (Michael J. Fox) realizes that it’s his dad at his age. Who goes out to eat and orders Corn Flakes?

Thanks to Margo for humoring us (so to speak) and for sharing her book with some lucky winners!
